In 2014, St. Paul’s created the world’s first Ice Chapel, that actually is located on ice!
Beaverton is the world’s ice fishing capital, and so in 2014 St. Paul’s built a place for everyone who visits the eastern shore of Lake Simcoe to pray for a good harvest, and to give thanks for God’s abundance.
The church brought together the worlds of construction, fabrication and art to build St. Paul’s- On-The-Ice. The Chapel is dedicated, and is visited by 100’s of fishermen each year. Canon Ted boasts that the Chapel “Seats 200. 4 people at a time.”
