Since 2009, St. Paul’s has ministered to a large Mexican migrant worker population in Beaverton.
The ministry provides a community of support and faith to more than 100 workers through a weekly Spanish Mass, football games each week, and a day of celebration for Mexican Independence Day.
St. Paul’s is part of the Durham Region Migrant Worker Network (DRMWN), which includes members from the areas of health care, nutrition, justice and spiritual care. The group works together to help and provide information to the more than 2,000 migrant workers across Durham Region.
